GETEC was in the CAU 2015 The Intergraph CADWorx & Analysis University held at the NH Conference Centre in Milan, training event at international level based on a series of technical sessions led by experts in the design, construction and operation of plants and offshore facilities - onshore. Event have analyzed some advanced aspects of CADWorx design softwares, CAESAR II®, PV Elite®, Visual Vessel Design and GT STRUDL®.

GETEC participated in the latest academic lecture by Prof. Paul Boccotti, held on October 27, 2014 in the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Reggio Calabria. Prof. Boccotti, luminary and Maritime Hydraulics and reference point for generations of students as well as creator of a maritime engineering school whose value is recognized in the international arena, presented his latest book, "Wave Mechanics and Wave Loads on Marine Structures ". During the keynote address, in addition to countless publications in international journals and books written by the professor, they were recalled the first important experiments in the natural laboratory of the Messina Strait, where the then very young researcher took with his students (Maiorca, Mesiti, Mannino ) validations of the theory of quasi-determinism of the sea waves.
